Tickets for this fundraiser go directly to Friends of the Little Spokane River Valley (FLSRV), a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to preserving and improving our community. Last year's event was sold out and was a great opportunity to socialize and support a great cause. Get your tickets early, and consider donating extra to raise funds for our trails (e.g. https://www.flsrv.org/post/nov-2024-trail-update).

Featured guest speaker: Jack Nisbet, Author & Historian
In a brief illustrated presentation, Salmon on the Spokane River, Nisbet will explore 19th-century artwork and journal observations describing historic salmon runs on the Spokane River. These accounts will be considered alongside tribal oral histories and watercolors by Spokane Tribal artist George Hill, offering perspective on the past, present, and possible future of the Little Spokane River’s totem fish.
Jack Nisbet is the award-winning author of Sources of the River, The Collector, The Dreamer and the Doctor, and several essay collections on the human and natural history of the Northwest. He has also led community walks along the Little Spokane River for many years, helping residents better understand the stories held in the landscape.
This event is our annual fundraiser dinner and silent auction, supporting FLSRV’s ongoing work to protect and preserve the Little Spokane River valley.
Join us for an evening of history, community, and stewardship in a place that connects us all.
Lastly, a BIG thank you to Herb Brown for welcoming us year after year to the Wandermere clubhouse at no charge.
